Hightower girls lose key basketball player to injury
Fort Bend ISD's best girls basketball team suffered a big loss last week.
Hightower High School senior Taylor Gilbert injured her left knee during practice on Wednesday. On Thursday Gilbert and the Lady Canes got the bad news. She has torn the anterior cruciate ligament and expects to miss the entire 2011-12 season.
