Rosenberg’s Special Events Committee is getting in the Christmas spirit planning the City’s annual Christmas holiday festival. The event, Christmas in Rosenberg, will be held in Rosenberg’s Historic Downtown District from 3-9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1
For the third consecutive year, the festival will include concerts as part of the activities. The first concert” begins at 4 p.m. and features American Rock Legends dedicated to performing tributes to some of the greatest music legends, including Elvis, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Blues Brothers, Motown Legends, and rock n’ roll singers of the 1950s.
The evening concert will feature the ever-popular Ezra Charles and The Works at 7 p.m. Ezra, a multi-recipient of Houston Press Readers Awards, is considered one of Houston’s best hot keyboardists. Music enthusiasts and fans will delight to original “Ezra” and standards in their horn-drenched rhythm and blues, boogie-woogie, and Texas rock & roll sound.
Other festival activities include visits with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, a children’s carnival on the grounds of the Rosenberg Railroad Museum, local vocalists entertaining at the Rosenberg Music Store, strolling performers, jugglers, and balloon artists, juried gifts and craft vendors, and festival food court.
Carnival and Santa Visit tickets will be sold at the Festival Ticket Booth at Third Street and Avenue G. Rosenberg’s downtown merchants will welcome Christmas shoppers and Rosenberg’s downtown eateries will be open for business, some with special event menus.

Festival guests can park free at the Fort Bend County Annex, 4520 Reading Road at Alt-90/Avenue H, and catch the “Holidays on the Brazos” Legacy Holiday Express sponsored by Legacy Ford-Rosenberg to travel to Christmas in Rosenberg and Richmond’s “Miracle on Morton Street.” Significant activities at each festival are scheduled to encourage guests to spend time at both festivals.
