Fort Bend County Sheriff’s investigators are seeking help from the public in helping identify a young boy discovered alone in the River’s Edge community near Richmond.
The boy, believed to be about 6 years old, was found near F.M. 359 and River Trace Drive. A spokeswoman for the department said the boy, who is about 4 feet tall, appears to have a mental disability, possibly autism, and he may have suffered from a head injury, as there are scars on his forehead.
Anyone with any information about the boy is urged to contact the sheriff’s department by calling Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers, at 281-342-8477.
The department said Crime Stoppers may provide a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the apprehension of suspects in the case - indicating the boy may have been abandoned. However, no further information was available Friday evening.
