Rosenberg Police Crack Down On Graffiti, Vandalism

Rosenberg Police officers arrested two teenagers in the past few days for allegedly spray-painting graffiti on private or public property, as part of the department’s “graffiti abatement program.”

Officer Sheila McWilliams arrested Dagoberto Leon Martinez, 18, Rosenberg, on Sept. 15 for vandalism via graffiti and evading arrest. He was transported to Rosenberg City Jail and later transferred to Fort Bend County Jail.

On Wednesday, Officer Michael Bradley arrested a 16-year-old juvenile in the 3400 block of Avenue R at Rychlik Street, on charges of vandalism of property via graffiti.

On September 20, 2006, Officer Michael Bradley while patrolling in the 3400 block of Avenue R and Rychlik Street arrested a sixteen year old juvenile at 10:25 p.m. on charges of Vandalism of Property resulting in the spray painting of graffiti.

As part of the police department’s anti-graffiti program, Fort Bend Juvenile Boot Camp offenders “will fan out through the city to paint over the recent graffiti” during the weekend of Sept. 30, according to a police report.
